HHMD relies on financial support from organizations, foundations, and individuals to operate.
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible.
Here's what your donation will provide...
$25 buys diapers for a child in need for one month
$225 covers our utilities during the winter months
$500 pays for the printing of our referral vouchers and annual reports
$1,057 allows our full-time and part-time employee to receive pay for one week
$1,600 allows us to serve 225 children and their families by covering our rent for one month
All items that HHMD provides to those in need come from generous families, resale shops, and consignment sales in the St. Louis area. Please feel free to drop off any donations at our warehouse any Monday - Thursday between 9:00am-noon. No need to let us know you are coming! We accept the following items:
Clothing for any season: sleepers, onesies, shorts, pants, shirts, skirts, dresses, socks, coats, hats, scarves, mittens
Bibs, blankets, shoes, cloth and disposable diapers, toys, board books, K-12 books, and pregnancy and parenting books
Baby gear: bouncy seats, swings, cribs (no drop-sides), pack 'n plays, bassinets, exersaucers, unexpired car seats, strollers, high chairs, bottles, breast pumps, carriers
Dishes, cooking utensils, microwaves, beds, dressers and couches
We can arrange for a volunteer to pickup large items such as baby gear and furniture. Please send us a note on our Contact page. Unfortunately, we are not able to pick up bags of clothing donations unless there is a large item involved.
HHMD is run almost entirely by compassionate volunteers who commit more than 200 hours per month to HHMD. If opportunities in any of these areas interest you, please send us an e-mail through our Contact page telling us about yourself and how you would like to contribute.
